When I lived in the beautiful Southern Highlands, I played cricket with the Bowral Blues. The club's home ground was Bradman Oval, which has to be one of the most picturesque country cricket grounds in Australia. During the early 1990s, plans were taking shape to develop a museum at the oval in honour of cricket's greatest batsman. At that time, I was working as a freelance journalist and photographer, so it was an obvious story for me to write about. You can read about the early days of the Bradman Museum here.
