This was one of those great success stories. A family farming business in Cowra in New South Wales did its homework and cracked the international mustard-oil market. During the mid-1990s, Peter and Barbara Ferguson and their daughter Kerry realised that the Cowra district was ideally suited to growing mustard seed oil, which has the lowest saturated fat content of edible oils. At the time, there was insufficient domestic production to meet demand.
The family formed a company, Palos Verdes International, to produce and market their mustard oil. You can read their story here.
